About Regenified
Regenified was founded in 2022 by the pioneers of regenerative agriculture. Our founders are known and recognized as the leading figures and guardians for regenerative agriculture and its journey to mainstream agriculture. Many great stories have been told including one showcased in the 2020 film Kiss the Ground. Regenified’s purpose is to protect the narrative around regenerative agriculture from greenwashing, while providing recognition and reward to the farmers and ranchers who successfully implement ecosystem-saving practices as part of their operations. To learn more about regenerative agriculture, please review these case studies.
Our mission is to advance the adoption of regenerative agriculture by offering the most reliable standards and verification services. To date, our standards have been approved by the largest grocery chains in the world and we have been actively verifying large acres of farmland producing grains, beef, poultry, eggs and fresh produce.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and brilliant Science, Research & Standard Lead to lead our scientific initiatives. This role is crucial for developing, validating, and advancing the standards and protocols that underpin our verification process, ensuring scientific rigor and integrity in everything we do. You will be the scientific backbone of our organization, driving the innovation that quantifies, verifies and certifies regenerative outcomes.
In this role, you will serve as the architect of our integrity—translating ecological science, market expectations, and partner needs into clear, rigorous, and practical program rules, serving as a trusted partner to our internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as customers, brand partners, and government entities, and ensuring they experience clarity, confidence, and high trust throughout their journey with Regenified.
You will be both a hands-on operator and a strategic thinker. Success in this role means building a seamless, high-integrity, scalable experience that supports Regenified’s growth while delivering measurable impact to the communities and systems we serve.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Regenified Standard - Lead the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of all protocols that define the Regenified verification system. Ensure standards remain clear, coherent, and actionable for producers, partners, and verifiers.
- Scientific Rigor - Ensure every requirement, criterion, and methodology is grounded in credible science, regenerative principles, and ecological evidence. Regularly evaluate emerging research and translate validated findings into improved program rules.
- System of Record - Maintain the authoritative “system of record” for all definitions, metrics, scoring logic, and program rules. Ensure this central data dictionary remains accurate, up to date, and fully aligned with operational and technical systems.
- Tooling Requirements - Define the business and functional requirements for all tools and platforms that operationalize the standard. Partner with Data and Ops to translate program logic into scalable, automated workflows. Work closely with the tech and operations teams to identify, vet, and assess cutting-edge technology solutions.
- Internal & External Alignment - Provide clear training, guidance, and technical support to V&C, Commercial, and Enterprise Ops to ensure consistent application of the standard. Engage with external scientific bodies, market partners, and regulatory agencies to ensure all standards remain robust, scientifically sound, and aligned with market expectations. Conduct speaking engagements and conference attendance to expand adoption of the standards.
- Feedback Loops - Gather insights from verifiers, producers, scientific literature, and market trends to inform updates to the standard. Convert real-world learnings into continuous improvements to criteria, methodologies, and guidance.
What You’ll Bring
- Mission Alignment: A deep passion for regenerative agriculture and a desire to support the farmers, ranchers, and partners leading this movement.
- Relevant Expertise: Experience in soil science, agronomy, ecology, environmental science, natural resource management, or related fields, with the credibility to build trust with users of the standard.
- Functional Strength: 5+ years in standards development, scientific program design, or technical leadership roles.
- Builder’s Mindset: Thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment and enjoys building processes, systems, or teams from the ground up.
- Operational Excellence: Exceptional writing, documentation, and systems-thinking skills; comfortable working closely with product, operations, and data teams.
- Analytical/Strategic Thinking: Able to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into clear actions.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical or complex concepts simply, clearly, and with empathy.
- Leadership & Influence: Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, managing scientific workstreams, or guiding teams in technical environments.
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Agronomy or other related field
Why You’ll Love it Here
